ARTISTDauber Robert
ENGLISHwas born likely in 1922 in Prag (Czech Republic). His father was the cellist Adolf Dauber, a member of the famous Ledec Quartet, with Egon Ledec and the violinists Viktor Kohn and Adolf Kraus. Inspired by his fatherís arrangements, Dauber started composing light music. He was deported to Theresienstadt while his parents remained in Prag. As a cello and piano virtuoso, there he founded a strings quartet (with the violinists Pavel Kling and Max Bloch and the violist Parkus) and a piano trio. On several postcards he told to his parents about his musical activities. In early 1945 he was transferred to Dachau, where he died of typhus.
